I have long been addicted to sweets. My weight is healthy, I’ve had a history of good medical check-ups, and family meals have been generally healthy, so I was surprised to hear at my last medical check-up that I am prediabetic. The news was paralyzing to me, knowing that I had been damaging my body through food. I thought I understood healthy eating and nutrition before this, but I found that I didn’t know how to eat in a way that didn’t require me and my family to fill up on desserts or sweet snacks. Even our “healthy” home cooked meals frequently centered around carbohydrates.

I had the pleasure of working with Allyson in 2018, and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of her services. I originally sought her in out in an effort to lose 5-10 stubborn pounds that I was having trouble shedding on my own.
